Shopping!

Today we had a really fun time with Annie and Lilly. Turns out Tamara gave Lena the day off, but Lena offered to arrange a taxi for Annie to come and spend the day with us. So she arrived just before 1pm. When we spoke in the morning it had looked to be a beautiful day, sun shining, some clouds with blue skies and a slight cool breeze. But as I said earlier, the weather changes rapidly here. Shortly after Annie arrived it poured. But the rain didn’t last long.

After Lily and Hayden finished playing for a bit (pic attached); we all headed out to the stores!! It was so nice to have company with me for a change and to be with someone who wanted to shop! I never once heard “Gina, that’s not what we came for” (usually said by my husband)!. So shop we did and Annie bought the place out!! Being cooped up in the hotel all this time, she hasn’t been able to get out and about to see any of the stores, so out came her wallet. I was more restrained, but did manage to find one or two special items.

After our shopping was done, we did what most shopping pals do – we headed for a late lunch at Mario’s Pizza. Annie hadn’t been and wanted to visit, and I never say no to pizza! Just as we were finishing up; this time a torrential downpour started. This one lasted quite a bit longer, we waited it out and once it was lightly raining we headed home for my apartment. Tromping through all the mud puddles, with Annie trying to push the stroller and carry the umbrella at the same time (pic attached). But we had fun laughing about it all.

Hayden is doing well, but he is hard to get down for an afternoon nap. He stayed up the whole time we shopped and finally at 6pm decided to crash out on me. But that’s too close to bed time, so it was a short lived nap for him. He has really been advancing physically. He is really trying hard to stand up. Hasn’t been able to pull himself up yet. But uses things to “prop” himself up (pic attached). Soon enough he’ll be standing and walking!

Another day down!

In no time he will be running and jumping, especially after his older brother. Hang in there, you'll both be home in a couple of weeks. Love and prayers.

Hi Gina, Hayden is such a cutie! Spencer and Hayden will be a ton of fun and it will be great to see them together. Sounds like you are really having an adventure and I envy you. I'm sure you miss Bob and Spencer but this is a special time for just the two of you!!

Love
