Goodbye Karaganda

I am purposely not titling this blog, “Goodbye Hayden.”, for I will see you soon, my son. I will truly miss you and your mother. Please know that you are in wonderful, caring, loving hands. From the moment we saw you, we knew you were our son. Your mother and I would do anything to protect you and keep you from harm. So rest well…until we see each other in 20 days.

To the city that helped make us a family, I say thank you. Your dirty water, your chicken lady, your unique charm will not be forgotten. We will be back, and by the time we come back I hope to God you get a face lift.

To my wonderful wife: You are caring, loving, and brave. I would not be leaving this place if I did not have faith in you. You will be fine…If I can do it, you sure can. Just remember not to flash your money in public, subtract 2 zeros from each tenge to convert to US dollars, and put that mean look on when you go out. (you know the one…that one that says, “Stay away, I ain’t takin’ no ^&%**.”)

The picture is Spencer's way of saying, "Goodbye Momma and Hayden."

I love you, Gina. I love you, Hayden. God Bless you and keep you safe.
